How to Shuffle at a Rave!

img_1434“The Shuffle” or “Shuffling” is a dance move that comes from the “Melbourne Shuffle,” a rave and or club dance that originated in the late 80s during the underground rave music scene in Melbourne, Australia.The basis of the shuffle uses quick heel-toe action that works best with electronic musicians the Rave scene. Give Thanks Concert Tour

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-12-42-25-pmThis Thanksgiving I had to the chance to go to another rave called “Give Thanks Tour”. The rave was a two day event. Day one was on Wednesday  November 23 and day two was on Friday November 25th at the City National Civic in San Jose. I decided to go very last minute because a friend of mine had an extra ticket. Upon arrival to the event I decided wear my light up shoes from rave rebel rave gear. Once inside the venue I ran straight to the dance floor because one of the DJ’s was playing a epic beat that had everyone grooving. The rave was so much fun and as a dancer I took immediate inspiration from the music. screen-shot-2016-11-27-at-3-57-07-pmThis  Halloween season, BOO SF  brought a massive music event to thousands of ghoulish Headliners in San Francisco.  On Friday, October 28,  at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The rave was fun, full of nonstop dancing and music. Seven DJ’s took over the night and made Halloween a night to remember. When I first arrived to Boo, all I wanted to do was dance to the drops of EDM music. Everyone was dressed up in they’re costumes. I saw a lot Pokemons, fairies and scary masks. Continue reading
